My Side of the Story

Mel and I have been talking about moving overseas for a while now. I have always wanted to go to Germany or somewhere in Europe and her heart is set on Australia. We spent the evening online looking at residency visas and trying to make some sort of long term plan.
If anyone knows ANYTHING at all (i know some of you have been through this before) about applying for visas in other countries let me know. It looks like a long detailed process but if we start now maybe in 2 yrs we will be ready.
The exciting thing is that in Australia we can apply for an interdependent relationship visa which has a one year requirement on the relationship- we are almost to that in a few months. EEK. So, it would be nice to go together instead of one of us ahead of the other and then sponsoring the one left behind. But in a way, that seems easier because now we'd have to find someone to sponsor us. I have a penpal in New Zealand but why would that person want to sponsor us lol? so really.. it looks like something that we can do if we really put our minds and money into it.
And I think it's a damn good plan. because I want to be out of the USA, even if only for a few years.
