told you i was mature!

You Are 25 Years Old

Under 12: You are a kid at heart. You still have an optimistic life view - and you look at the world with awe.

13-19: You are a teenager at heart. You question authority and are still trying to find your place in this world.

20-29: You are a twentysomething at heart. You feel excited about what's to come... love, work, and new experiences.

30-39: You are a thirtysomething at heart. You've had a taste of success and true love, but you want more!

40+: You are a mature adult. You've been through most of the ups and downs of life already. Now you get to sit back and relax.

job search

So, I am officially going insane. I have been online searching for a JOB for the last hour and a half. I want to shoot the computer now. I sent in a few online applications. I am looking for a way to jump start a career now before I graduate. So many things require experience but how do you get experience if you have to have it to get the job?! Someone has to hire you and let you learn but apparently people dont want to do that. They expect you to give yourself experience in certain areas. FRRR!! I really want to get a better job before I graduate. I know I am gettin the promotion and more money bla bla bla.. but it would be even nicer if I could get a job with more advancement opportunities that will be more constructive to me in the long run. If anyone knows of any jobs that are involved with social justice, activism, politics, or something gay oriented let me know. I really want to do something worthwhile..but I dont think I will have that chance right now so I will settle for.. well, whatever at this point. something with more dolla's and more benefits. Gotta be looking out for me and my kiddies, right?! Hopefully someone will see some potential in me and hire this queer girl with no real experience.
started Human Relations 299 today. The teacher told me that I was the first student to sign up for the class, I will assume thats a good thing. We are learning about Rites of Passage. So, this should be interesting. I keep wondering if coming out falls into that category as an experience that changed my life?! Can I write about that it the book of my life.. I mean, it totally changed how I saw myself and my future. So, it has to be, but its not in the text anywhere or in anything that we learned. I told the class today about the most recent ritual that moved me. It was at gay pride when CJ and Carrie got married. It was funny to say that it was a mass wedding. People looked so strange. I didn't mention that it was queer motivated or anything. Just a big wedding. lol. can't wait til they find out about me. there are only 2 other chics in the class with me. that is sort of odd. i dont like male dominated classes, it makes me feel awkward. i like a better balance. anyway, i anticipate learning a lot in here even tho i have heard he sucks as a professor. so far so good.
