tea time

We shall start the winter semester off with the Merchant Ivory
production of the off-beat farce Meri Docteur Rey! ABC Radio Network
calls this movie "A prescription for off-the-wall, witty mayhem." The
interaction of zany characters results in an over-the-top and
beguiling commentary on the amusing absurdities of life. Mix together
a confused 23-year old gay man seeking Mr. Right in the personal ads,
an opera-diva mother with a penchant for Medusa, a
neurotic-narcissistic French actress, a dead psychiatrist and a
missing father, and the results are an "unabashedly implausible" story
with enigmatic charm.
